Chocolate  is often accused as food triggers acne. But the researchers showed acne is not caused by a variety of foods such as chocolate, pizza, fries and foods rich in fat.

Acne commonly appears on the average skin due to hormonal imbalance in the body and there is no relationship between chocolate consumption with acne that appears.

In a study conducted by Dr. Albert M. Ligman, a professor of dermatology, involving 65 people who have acne and face each day eating some chocolate. Found 46 people showed no change in acne, acne decreased 10 people and 9 people got worse acne, and all have the same amount of chocolate every day.

As quoted from Worldwidehealth, Tuesday (29/9/2009), the possibility of chocolate is often associated with acne, because chocolate contains a number of fats and oils high sebum. Perhaps people think if you eat chocolate excess, the body will try to reduce the fat from the sebaceous glands are blocked pores that cause acne. And chocolate has nothing to do with acne.

Researchers even found that chocolate has antioxidants plus rich in calories and caffeine and can give the effect of relaxation for the mind of people who eat them. In addition, antioxidants contained in chocolate could also be useful for skin care, so now the subject of chocolate mask is very popular with the public.

Eating chocolate in sufficient quantities would not cause any harm. The important thing is to avoid foods high in sugar, because it can cause increased production of hormones.
