A gene that can make you live a long life to 100 years has been identified by expert scientists in the United States. The findings, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences this, touted to be a new breakthrough in producing anti-aging drug.
The team of researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, doing research on an Ashkenazi Jewish communities in the United States, which has an average age of 97 years. From the research, they discovered that the respondents have decreased gene that appears to prevent aging cells.
Studies show that 86 parents who studied along with their children, have an enzyme called telomerase with a very high level. This enzyme serves to protect the DNA in the body.
