Montana, Walter Breuning was recorded as the oldest man in the world by reaching the age of 113 years in September 2009. Breuning was no secret and tips on healthy living is enviable. What’s that?
The man from Great Falls, United States says that the secret of life is healthy eating. He said he only ate 2 meals a day throughout his life. “I always get rid of the food if it has been 2 times to eat, although still hungry,” Breuning said as reported by USA Today, Thursday (1/10/2009).
With a 62.5-kg weight at the moment, Breuning always limit his food portions, both breakfast and lunch. He never ate anything at night. “My weight is still equal to the weight for 35 years,” Breuning said.
His efforts to not eat the night started when he first moved from Minneapolis to the Great Fall in 1978. He lived in an apartment and had to come down the stairs each will eat. In 1980, Breuning was asked to become manager at a hotel. There he could get any food he liked.
Initially, Breuning always woke up at 6:15 in the morning and breakfast with large portions. He did this for 15 years. “I can eat whatever I want, like a private restaurant,” says Breuning. But after that, he was limiting his food 2 times a day and no dinner.
But because Breuning always sent a package of fruit, he was forced to eat many servings of fruit. He also often consume a lot of water. One more thing, he would never be taking any medications. The only medication he was taking aspirin, but it was only once.
“I always drink water every time, half a cup of coffee at breakfast and half again at lunch,” Breuning said.
Breuning felt he always lived in good health throughout his life and believes that a diet factor is very influential on health. “If only people could manage his diet, they would remain healthy. The people who are sick are those who eat too much,” Breuning said.
In addition to diet and adjust your diet, Breuning also claimed that the secret of healthy living and longevity is hard work. Although this vision began to blur, but he let his brain continued to be active by listening to the news or the sources of knowledge from the radio or television.
Breuning served as manager of the 2 companies as well as to age 99 years. Breuning began habits to reduce meal portions and not eating since the night 35 years ago that since she was 78 years old. And since the same weight remained stable and he was never exposed to any disease.
“Once you get used not to eat excessive, I believe the future will be healthier. Avoid eating out as a restaurant and eat better at home,” said a man who had a favorite lunch menu is beef liver and garlic.
